CERTIFICATION LEED® HOTEL XIXIM EN MÉRIDA, MÉXICO
It is a bioclimatically designed building in order to analyze the thermal behavior of different measures and reduce energy demand to a minimum, with the purpose of projecting a low-consumption school; taking into account orientation, sun protection, surround, smart glass and natural lighting.
1. The energy simulation was carried out in accordance with Appendix G of the ASHRAE 90.1-2010 standard, to verify compliance and performance of the EA: Minimum Energy Performance and EA: Optimize Energy Performance in order to analyze the thermal behavior of different measures and reduce energy demand to a minimum.
2. On the other hand, the indoor air quality was reviewed in accordance with the ASHRAE 62.1-2010 standard, to verify compliance and performance of the IEQp1 Minimum indoor air quality performance and IEQc2 Increase Ventilation.
3. Study of Natural Lighting (Daylitght).
4. Compliance Fundamental Refrigerants & Enhanced Refrigerant.
Wayam by Xixim will be located on Avenida Colón very close to the new Convention Center. It will also have 30 rooms with private terraces, eight of which will be master suites. The hotel will have 2 multipurpose rooms, a full-service restaurant, a pool with a panoramic view, and a gym. The property is also designed for long-term travelers offering 11 fully equipped 2-bedroom apartments.
Since the conception of Wayam by Xixim, the necessary guidelines have been taken care of to obtain the LEED® certification with respect and care for the environment. All the trees in the enclosure will be preserved and kept intact. The project is planned for Wayam to be a hotel among trees.
