Torre Glòries, formerly Torre Agbar (acronym for Aguas de Barcelona), is a skyscraper in the city of Barcelona, ​​Spain, located at the confluence of Avenida Diagonal, next to Plaza de las Glorias, and which marks the entrance door to the technological district of Barcelona known as District 22@. It has 34 floors above the surface in addition to four underground floors for a total of 144 meters high, becoming, at the time of its opening (June 2005), the third tallest building in the capital of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia, only surpassed by the Hotel Arts Barcelona and the Mapfre Tower (both 154 meters high).

The building has a total surface area of ​​50,693 square meters, of which 30,000 are for offices, 3,210 for technical facilities, 8,132 for services, including an auditorium, and 9,132 for parking. It was designed by the architect Jean Nouvel in collaboration with the firm b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos.

The energy simulation was carried out in accordance with Appendix G of the ASHRAE 90.1-2007 standard, for verification of compliance and performance of EAp2: Minimum Energy Performance and EAc1: Optimize Energy Performance in order to analyze the thermal behavior of different measures and reduce energy demand. to the minimum. Looking for the objective of projecting a low consumption building; taking into account that the interior temperature is regulated with an intelligent VRF system

Its second owner was the multinational group Agbar, which has its corporate headquarters there and occupies most of its floors, allocating the rest for rent.2 Agbar acquired the tower in March 2010 after reaching an agreement with its previous owner. , the investment group Azurelau, for which it promised to disburse 165 million euros.3 Previously, Azurelau had acquired ownership of the property in mid-2007 after disbursing an amount that was not made public to the developer, Inmobiliaria Layetana. 2​

In mid-2011, the European Commission decided to distinguish the Agbar Tower with the title of Green Building for its energy efficiency, as well as for the reduced CO2 emissions in relation to buildings with similar characteristics.
